ibooks author uninstall???

this question is regarding my 27" mid-2011 imac running el capitan 10.11.6 - I have downloaded/installed ibooks author and now want to uninstall it... I have used an uninstall app downloaded from the apple site but an update for ibooks author continues to show up... any help or suggestions are appreciated...
